Redesigning a concept for a website is a farfetch thing for me until Mr. Ranjit Grewal, the owner of StayLoadedCanada.com asked me to develop new concepts to make a freight-matching website (www.stayloadedcanada.com)user-friendly.
I was overwhelmed at the new task but the question is, can I do it? I don't have experience. But on the other hand, I thought, if others could do it, then why couldn't I?
Developing concept is not a matter of experience but creativity.
So, I studied the site and see in which ways it could be easier for users.
I used Microsoft Office tools (Word and Excel) to express the concepts that I created and presented it to the website programmers.
After the revamped, I suggested to give three months free trial to customers so they could familiarize the site, give us suggestions and build up volume.
We succeeded in building up the volume. We now have thousands of shipper and trucker members on the site.
Recently, me, Ranjit and the agents brainstormed and came up with additional features for better service to the members. Currently, we offer PERSONALIZED CUSTOMER SERVICE specially to Premium Members. We are assigning company's representatives to specific members to help them post loads/trucks, search loads/ trucks, submit a quotation for them and other stayloaded site related tasks.
MORE FEATURES COMING ARE THE FOLLOWING:
1. CHATROOM- Where Shippers and Truckers can deal live online.
2. ONLINE SUPPORT - Customer service reps will also be online to help out members.
3. CONTINUOUS QUOTATION COMMUNICATION - Currently, after a trucker reply to a shipper's quotation, the communication stopped there so we'll make it continuous so they could communicate back and forth on quotation.
4. VIEW TRUCKS REARRANGEMENT- We will rearrange the View Trucks by province so that it would be easier for customers to sort out the trucks they need.
We appreciate those members who are giving us feedbacks and suggestions for the improvement of the website. We are working on their recommendations.
Stay tuned for further developments...
